On TV

First Wizard of Oz was on last night and now Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella is on tonight!

I do wish they'd make more movie musicals! (Though not necessarily musicals into movies...)

A Lovely night, a lovely night
A finer night you know you'll never see
You meet your prince, a charming prince
As charming as a prince will ever be.
The stars in a hazy heaven
tremble above you
While he is whispering:
"Darling I Love you"
You say goodbye, away you fly
but on your lips you keep a kiss
All your life you'll dream of this
Lovely, lovely night.

I love musicals! I would love to play Curly in Oklahoma, or Adam in Seven Brides! Especially Adam, just for his opening song. It's the kind of song a bass lives for!

And I really don't like Sondheim. I think someone once said that he writes lyrics like a man who knows he'll never have to get up in public and perform his own material.
